Competitor Manufacturing Analysis

Clients from all manufacturing sectors use CIS to provide them with detailed intelligence on competitors’ production operations enabling in-depth cost analysis to be conducted. “Site Analysis” provides process economics on specific product ranges being manufactured at one or more competitor locations.

The data is collated through painstaking human source intelligence within and outside competitor companies coupled with continuous deductive analysis of public domain information.

The final deliverable comprises a series of spreadsheets showing detailing fixed and variable costs including: plant capacities, outputs and revenues, headcounts; labour costs; raw material costs, component sourcing and costs, utility costs depreciation and capital structure. Accompanying this is a qualitative report that supports the figures and provides a detailed description of how the organisation conducts business in relation to the site and product in question.

The intelligence gathered is built to provide a detailed value chain analysis for specific competitor product ranges allowing the client to benchmark their processes and to evaluate where cost savings could be made.
